How do you share your love for Japan with your loved ones? With JR East’s specially curated travel-themed omiyage (souvenir) box subscription service RAIL CROSS, it is easier than ever to transport a little bit of Japan right to your loved ones’ doorstep!

What’s in the box?
The first box is themed “Lovers in Hokkaido” and contains a variety of local Hokkaido favourites, including the very popular Shiroi Koibito (白い恋人). Alongside Shiroi Koibito, making their Singapore debut are other local favourites such as Hokkaido Yubari Melon Bite-size Jelly (北海道産夕張メロンひとくちゼリー), Toukibi Chocolate Milk Chocolate Flavour (とうきびチョコ ミルクチョコ), and Shiokara Hoshichatta (塩辛干しちゃった). Following the theme of the box, it has been curated in the hopes of being shared with loved ones, whether sweet lovers or friends with a sweet tooth.

With a new theme and region featured every month, there is always something new to look forward to in every omiyage box! For the eager customers, do stop by Japan Rail Cafe to check out the sample of the boxes and items of the month displayed at the smart retail booth.

How does it work?

  1. Choose the number of RAIL CROSS boxes (each box is priced at S$50) you would like to subscribe to at the smart retail booth in Japan Rail Cafe or via
  2. Await your omiyage box while it makes its way from Japan to you! Please note that boxes are only available for pre-order and will be delivered to you in the subsequent month.
  3. Your omiyage has now “travelled” to you in the same way that you would travel to Japan. Enjoy your omiyage from Japan, hand-picked by JR East
