Liese MY came up with a campaign perfect for those who have been staying at home but want to have a new hair makeover, using the all-new Ash Tone Liese Creamy Bubble Color in Midnight Ash and Silvery Ash Gray.

The campaign started from July 2021, which Irene Yap (@irene.xiiaoc) is the one to post first among other influencers. Her video gained 4,130 likes.

IG Reels Challenge was followed by Malaysian influencers Vivian Liu (@vivian1017) and Gladish Chan (@gladischan) with more than 4.5K and 20k likes, respectively.

All Malaysian participants were invited to create a video featuring their before and after results using the Silver Ash Gray or Midnight Ash. Just like how Miki Tew (@miki_tew), one of the Malaysian influencers, did in the videos below which reached more than 219,000 views in FB alone, while 33.5K likes on IG:

The IG challenge video should be posted on IG reels, must be set to public, with hashtags #AshCoolAsIam #LieseAshToneChallenge and must tag @liesemy. Liese MY encourages everyone to be as creative as possible with their entries!

The contest which ran from 28th July to 22nd September 2021 was closed out by influencers Chanwon (@chanwon92) with more than 1.6k likes and Serena (@serenavanilaa) with 4k likes.

Included in the campaign are OOTD (outfit of the day) by each influencer like below and a fun collab between Miki and Gladish, who are actually good friends in real life, on Gladish’s YouTube channel. The two influencers can be seen enjoying promoting the 2 new shades of Ash, giving a tutorial on how to use the Liese products and showing the before & after result, which has gained the said YouTube video more than 122,000 views in only less than 3 months.

4 Types of Influencers Based On Their Number of Followers

Influencer marketing is effective when done properly. But before hopping on this strategy, know the types of influencers based on their follower count and find out which suits your brand best.

1) Nano Influencer

These are influencers with a following of 10K or less. They have better engagement rates and more authentic recommendations and reviews. This is because they are followed by people they have a real-life relationship within their community. The nano influencer would be perfect if you are a small-medium enterprise or if you are only starting out. Collaborating with nano influencers is also budget-friendly.

2) Micro Influencer

A micro influencer has followers ranging from 10K to 100K. Although their audience is larger than nano influencers, they still appear relatable to their followers. Often regarded as key opinion leaders (KOLs), they talk about a specific topic and build their niche that appeals to a bigger focus group. Their followers are also more open to hearing more marketing plugs from them. Micro influencers typically give you your money’s worth as they are less expensive than macro influencers but still reach a wider audience.

3) Macro Influencer

These are internet-famous personalities. They’ve built their fame through vlogging or creating funny/informational/witty content. With 100K to 1M followers, a macro influencer appeals to a broader demographic, but still maintaining key opinion leader status. They are still able to focus on a particular subject. Because of the huge following, a macro influencer’s engagement rate usually is lower than that of a micro influencer’s. As for the fees, macro influencers charge more. If your marketing budget is able to accommodate their rates and if you’re looking at expanding your audience, then this type of influencer is what you’re looking for.

4) Mega Influencer

Mega influencers are what one might call superstars with typically a million or more followers. They are famous content creators or even celebrities like actors, singers, and models. They have a huge but rather diverse fan base. If your brand’s goal is to reach more market segments, then the mega influencer is the one for you. Because they have plenty of followers, their rates are also high. So if your brand aims to raise awareness among the mass and your pocket is deep, then best to team up with a mega influencer.
